We wanted to give you some statistics on who the United States government is helping in terms of Social Security Benefits, Social Security Disability Benefits and Food Stamps in the country.
The worse the economy in the US gets, the more residents there are that rely on the government for help with their monthly bills and payments. Currently there are 51 million Americans who are collecting Social Security Benefits from the government.
In addition to the 51 million receiving benefits, there are another 12 million people who are collecting Social Security Disability (SSDI) in the US.
And lastly, 34 million people in the United States are currently collecting food stamps from the government, and this number is rising at a rate of 4 million a year.
It looks like the American government needs to figure something out, and fast, because that’s a lot of people relying on government funding during a hard economic crisis.
